.....are the paint job needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated. The colours change in certain light from blue to mauve and even black and all the time there is this inky glow that visibly leaps from within the paintwork.

The particular shade (Blueberry) has to be one of the nicest Metalflake mixes ever and if you are thinking about a paint job then I can strongly recommend Metalflake paints

This just about wraps up the description on the general specification of the car but obviously we haven't finished here. The car was built first and foremost to be driven and over the next few months we'll be putting it through its paces and reporting in the form of a full road test, on how the Fiesta copes.

Finally words of thanks must go to the Ford Motor Co through their ever helpful Press Officer, Barry Reynolds, for allowing us to restyle one of their vehicles. Thanks also to Melvyn and Steve Foster of Fibresports for their invaluable co-operation with the project. To Keith Andrews (Workshop Engineer) for the frequent use of his right arm, to Keith Baker of Metalflake UK for his spraying expertise, also Ian Johnson for helping out generally and sorting out electrical problems, to Steve Kirk for taking the time to put down on paper those initial styling ideas and finally to everyone else involved (there were many) whom I have missed.

Project Fiesta will be on display at the two major custom shows during '81 namely the Street Machine NEC event which will have actually happened by the time this gets into print and also the annual Belle Vue bash in Manchester May 2nd-4th, so if you would like to see the car in greater detail, you know where to go.

Top-Left - Stripe application, hardest part is keeping them parallel
Top-Right - RS wheel. Cobra seats and Pioneer sounds in situ
Bottom - Evident are Britax Sunhatch and under bonnet soundproofing
